Listen to Ray’s timely advice.
Hi Ray,
This is Duane Kimball for Callaway Nebraska we spent a few hours together at Commodity classic this past winter. You were very instrumental in making it a great experience for me. Thank you! Since returning from the Commodity Classic mother nature has been throwing a lot at us. We have roads and fields washed out, our calf losses have been the highest I’ve ever experienced and Friday night tornadoes were very close. I finally got started planting corn May, 14th. I am typing this Sunday night while planting – we have 1000 of our 4000 acres planted with a rainy week ahead. One thing that has kept me going has been listening to your Hot Rod Farmer podcasts. The podcasts are awesome!!!! If you ever get to central Nebraska look me up, we can’t go to Emily’s in Broken Bow but we will find something good. Thanks again!
Duane,
What a blessing to receive your note the other day… a wonderful surprise!
When the storm hit your area and I did not hear from you I was concerned. And since I was neglectful to take your contact information, I could not reach out to see if you and yours were fine.
I was so happy to get your note yesterday. My wife Charlotte and I are saddened by your trials and the very high calf loss, but thank God you are all safe. I know that by the grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, you will survive and thrive.
So many have suffered the trials of Job this year that it is hard to see your way, and I certainly do not profess to fully understand the devastation that occurred, but I know our Lord is faithful to those that trust in Him.
I would love to send you the Hot Rod Farmer t-shirt and my engine cooling book I promised you. Please let me know your size and a mailing address.
I would also welcome the opportunity speak by phone since you provided your number. Please let me know when it would be good for you and we can try to connect… no rush.
Thanks so much for listening to my podcast and for the kind words about it. I greatly appreciate that.
It was a blessing to meet you that day in Orlando, I thank you for talking with me.
And when we get to Nebraska, and we will, Charlotte and I would be honored to take you and your wife to dinner on us, at the BEST steak house in the area!
It was wonderful hearing from you and I am glad that you are safe.
Have a blessed day.
Your friend,
Ray
